Yes, it is possible to lose 10 pounds in 10 days, although it’s certainly not going to be easy – sometimes it’s just not the best thing to do for your health.
The best rate to lose weight is between 1 and 2 pounds each week, although to most people this does not seem anywhere near fast enough. Maybe a special occasion is coming up and they want to look their best, but need to shift a few extra pounds quickly. Whatever your reason for wanting to lose 10lbs in 10 days, here are a few ideas that can work – before undertaking this type of rapid weight loss please check with your physician.
1. Go on a juice fast – you can go for one that you know works like the Hollywood diet or the lemonade diet. You pick your favorite fruit or veg, mix up in your blender with some ice, and then drink just this every day. In lots of cases this will work, but if the fruits we love are also high in sugar then you will probably be drinking a lot of sugar still and that will not help you to lose your 10 pounds. You should never follow this for more than a short period at a time.
2. If that sounds a bit too drastic then you can reduce your calories to a very low amount. You need about 1500 calories a day to maintain your present weight, so drop this down to a severe 1000 calories and the weight should shift. You can for a few days, if necessary, go to 800, with your physicians permission.
It is actually quite difficult to stick to around 1000 calories a day, although you should see an adequate weight loss. You may want to take a multi vitamin tablet as well.
3. Chose a low carbohydrate diet to fllow. This may well be the easiest and safest way to lose your ten pounds. Diets like Atkins will restrict your carb intake. Many people will lose between 10-20 pounds in the first week of following Atkins diet. This is going to be a fair amount of water, but still, it will shift the scales downwards.
Do lots more exercise along with reducing your food intake – this will help to ensure that you stay well toned as well.
Whatever you do, remember it is possible to lose ten pounds in ten days, but you will need to check with your physician that it is going to be safe for you to lose weight this quickly.
